Shirley Anne King

 

I am Shirley Anne King. I obtained my 2 undergraduate degrees from Univ. of Alberta, Cda.; my M.M. and CED from Christian Leadership University, Cheektowaga, New York; and my M.Div. from Younggi Cho Seminary, Seoul, Korea. I was just recently ordained a Reverend by Full Gospel denomination, Korea.

 

My call, passion and life work continue to be Christian Education.

 

I have been an educator for forty years, a few of those years home-schooling my three daughters who are now godly women, raising my 13 grandchildren.

I am also a curriculum developer who has created a fusion bible and language literacy program on eight levels, from pre-kindy to adult, with kindy, lower, middle and higher levels in progression. I successfully facilitated the program at five different levels, from kindy to high school over 16 three-month semesters, at Youido Full Gospel Church, Seoul, Korea.

 

Three levels of this program use talk pen technology (see short videos for sample) and the rest of the levels audio and/or You-tube files. This program (115 books) is designed for both domestic and global ministry; and is in the process of upgrading and re-publishing.

 

I labored, by the grace of God, for many years developing this program. At this time, let me share with you my:

 

VISION of Smart Talk English (STE): to dedicate time and effort to developing a curriculum, facilitating and promoting its use by parents, teachers, interest groups and institutions who will use this curriculum to teach English in non-English cultures. Whereas this curriculum is designed to teach English effectively, the message of God (as derived from the Bible) to bringing new people groups to His knowledge and to strengthen families, churches and believers strongly balances with language acquisition.

 

MISSION of STE: To develop and promote a new teaching tool/method for the teaching of English in non- English cultures so that learners are effectively brought to the knowledge of God in the process of acquiring English as a second language (ESL).

 

PURPOSE of STE: To contribute to the discipling of people groups for the Kingdom if God through the medium of academic or similar education.

 

SPIRITUAL GOALS of STE:

To offer God a thanks giving offering of the best work STE can do with the resources God has given this curriculum team;

To magnify God’s Word among the nations;

To provide a spiritual legacy for the next generation;

To give STE Kingdom meaning, purpose and fulfillment.

 

This curriculum will be distributed through both STE and its ministerial branch – Serving Nations.
